Šalka vas (German: Schalkendorf) is a settlement immediately to the northeast of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Roch and belongs to the Kočevje parish. It is a Late Gothic building that was extended in the 19th century.[3]
